We collect the minimum information necessary to provide our services. Most free PDF tools and the free Resume Builder do not require an account. Career Pro features require an account so we can provide subscription access and account-based features such as saved resumes.
Files you upload: Any PDF, Word document, or image file you upload is stored temporarily on our processing servers solely for the duration of the task you have requested. These files are never opened, read, or accessed by any member of our team.
Anonymous usage data: We may collect non-personal, anonymous data about how our tools are used, such as which tools are most popular, the approximate country of visitors, browser type, and general device type. This information cannot be used to identify you personally.
Account information: If you create an EggyPDF account, we store account identifiers such as your email address and account ID so we can authenticate you and manage Career Pro access.
Career Pro saved resumes: If you use Career Pro resume saving, the resume details you enter — such as your name, contact details, work history, education, skills, languages, selected template, and optional profile photo — are stored with your account so you can return later and continue editing. Free-user resume data is not intentionally stored for future visits.
Contact information: If you contact us directly via email, we will receive your email address and the contents of your message. This information is used solely to respond to your enquiry and is not shared with any third party.

The handling of your uploaded files is the most important aspect of our privacy commitment. Here is exactly what happens when you use any EggyPDF tool:
Upload: Your file is transmitted to our processing server via an encrypted HTTPS connection. This ensures that your file cannot be intercepted during transit.
Processing: Our server performs the task you requested, whether that is merging, compressing, converting, or any other operation. This is an automated process with no human involvement.
Download: The processed file is made available for you to download directly to your device.
Deletion: Ordinary PDF-processing inputs and generated outputs are temporary server files. They are removed automatically after processing or delivery, with additional cleanup safeguards for temporary files. Career Pro saved-resume data remains linked to the account until the user deletes it or the account data is otherwise removed in accordance with this policy.

The limited information we collect is used exclusively for the following purposes: to provide, operate, and improve our PDF tools and services; authenticate accounts and manage Career Pro access; save Career Pro resumes so users can return and edit them; deliver a Career Pro resume PDF to a valid recipient email address chosen by the signed-in Career Pro user when requested; understand how our platform is being used so we can prioritise improvements; respond to support requests; and maintain the security and reliability of our infrastructure.
We do not use your information for advertising, profiling, or any purpose beyond what is described above.
We do not sell, rent, trade, or share your personal information with any third party for commercial purposes. We will never monetise your data in any form.
EggyPDF uses trusted third-party service providers for infrastructure, account authentication and storage, security, payment processing, and transactional email delivery. These providers process only the information needed to perform the relevant service. When a Career Pro user chooses to email a resume, the recipient address is used only to deliver that message.
We may disclose information if required to do so by law or in response to a valid legal request from authorities. In such cases, we will disclose only the minimum information required and will notify affected users where legally permitted to do so.
We take the security of your data seriously and have implemented the following measures to protect your files and information.
HTTPS encryption: All data transmitted between your browser and our servers is encrypted using industry-standard TLS encryption. This prevents any third party from intercepting your files during upload or download.
Isolated storage: Uploaded files are stored in temporary, isolated directories on our server with no public access. Files cannot be accessed by other users or external parties.
Automatic deletion for processing files: Files uploaded to ordinary PDF processing tools are configured to be automatically deleted after processing and in all cases within one hour. Career Pro saved resume data is different: it remains linked to the user account so the user can return and edit it later.
No logging of file contents: Our server logs do not record the names, contents, or any metadata of files beyond what is technically necessary to complete the processing task.
EggyPDF uses a minimal number of cookies. Essential session cookies are used to ensure the website functions correctly. We may also use anonymous analytics cookies to understand how our tools are being used. We do not use advertising cookies or tracking cookies that follow you across other websites. EggyPDF is a general productivity tool intended for use by people of all ages. However, we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13.
